Security Forces Headquarters (West) hosted the Security Coordination Conference 2025 on 04 August 2025, to review and enhance safety measures at key tourist destinations within its area of responsibility.
Chaired by Major General U K D D P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc, Commander SFHQ (West), the conference focused on strengthening collaborative efforts among the tri-services, Police, and Special Task Force to ensure a secure environment for both local and foreign visitors.
Discussions centered on current threat assessments, inter-agency response mechanisms, and proactive strategies to support Sri Lanka’s growing tourism sector.
The Commander emphasized the importance of joint vigilance and reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding all tourist attractions under SFHQ (West).
