On Wednesday ,4th June 2025,in conjunction with the training day,a lecture was delivered by an officer of the welfare Directorate to 3X130 Officers and other ranks of the 14 Infantry Division and the Battalions Under the 142 and 144 Infantry Brigades at the 14 VIR lectre hall. The aim of the lecture was to provide serving personnel with a comprehensive understanding of the charitable activities and welfare services undertaken by the Directorate, and to encourage active involvement at the unit level.
The content of the lecture covered various welfare schemes, assistance programs, and charitable initiatives available to both serving and retired personnel, as well as their families. The lecture highlighted the importance of timely dissemination of welfare-related information and the effective implementation of these services in the field.
The session also underlined the role of unit welfare officers in identifying deserving cases and facilitating support through the appropriate channels. Participants were encouraged to promote a culture of welfare awareness within their respective units. The lecture was well received and deemed highly informative and beneficial by all attendees, significantly contributing to capacity building in the welfare domain.
