BODHI POOJA PROGRAMME

A Bodhi Pooja programme was held on 07 September 2025 from 0930 hrs to 1130 hrs, in line with the Binara Poya Day, with the participation of the General Officer Commanding of the 61 Infantry Division, Major General W S V Fernando USP ndc IG, along with all senior officers, other ranks, and civil staff of the Division.

For this programme, Mr. Dhammika, a resident of Piliyandala, along with his wife and their two sons, arranged for 28 Atavisi Buddha statues to be placed around the sacred Bodhi Tree. Additionally, 20 Buddha statues and 20 parcels of offering items were distributed among 20 residents of the area during this event.
