18th BATTALION SRI LANKA NATIONAL GUARD TROOPS LEAD COMMUNITY CLEANING PROJECT AT ST. JOHN'S CHURCH, BALANGODA

20 x troops from the 18th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) carried out a cleaning initiative at St. John's Church in Balangoda on 29 March 2025. The project was organized with the approval of the 61 Infantry Division and supervised by the 572 Infantry Brigade. Designed to promote ethnic and religious harmony in the area, the event brought together military personnel and local residents in a joint effort to improve the environment and strengthen communal ties. This initiative underscores the Army's ongoing dedication to fostering peace, coexistence, and civic participation beyond its primary responsibilities.
