The 1st Mechanized Infantry Regiment conducted a cleaning program at the Ayyakachchi Maha Vidyalaya located in the KN/79 Ayyakachchi Grama Niladhari Division on 26 December 2025. Teachers, children and parents of the school also participated for this programme. The Commanding Officer of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Regiment Lieutenant Colonel HGE Hapukotuwa USP deployed troops for the programme and cleaned the school premises.
The programme was conducted under the supervision of Major General MN Fernando RSP, General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division, and Brigadier JAC Karunathilaka RSP USP, Commander 522 Infantry Brigade.
