A church cleaning programme prior to the Christmas eve was organized by troops of 23 Gemunu Watch at Arogya Mata Church Muhamale from 0830 hrs to 1030 hrs on 22 December 2025.The programme was organized with the aim of improving the environmental standards of the church premises, which will immensely benefited to the people in the area. Several civilians living around the above mentioned church were also participated and the programme was initiated by the Commanding Officer 23 Gemunu Watch, Major EA Edirisinghe RWP RSP.
The program was conducted under the supervision of Major General MN Fernando RSP, the General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division, and Brigadier JAC Karunathilaka RSP USP, the Commander 522 Infantry Brigade.
