The 4th Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment commenced a community project on 10 November 2025 in line with the national “Clean Sri Lanka” initiative. Supported Financially by Wanni Aid Canada and coordinated by Commander 521 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier BDTD Jayarathna psc, the project focuses on renovating the Sakkotei site, the northernmost tip of Sri Lanka. The effort includes the renovation of the long-abandoned toilet complex, aiming to improve facilities and enhance the site’s appeal to both local and foreign tourists while enhance cleanliness, comfort, and overall tourist attraction to the site.
