Meeting Dignitaries after Assuming Duties as General Officer Commanding 51 Infantry Division

Upon assuming duties as the 36th General Officer Commanding of the 51 Infantry Division in Kopay, Jaffna, Major General M Rizvi Razick RSP ndu undertook a series of courtesy visits to prominent dignitaries in the Jaffna region on the 22nd and 24th of October 2025.

These visits were a significant in Major General M Rizvi Razick RSP ndu took over duties of command, highlighting the Sri Lanka Army’s longstanding commitment to fostering positive civil-military relations and enhancing mutual understanding between the security forces and local leadership. Through these engagements, Major General M Rizvi Razick RSP ndu aimed to strengthen the bond with key government figures, including the Hon. Governor of the Northern Province, Mr. Nagalingam Vethanayahan and the Government Agent of the Jaffna District, Mr. M Piratheepan. The focus of these meetings was to promote institutional cooperation, improve coordination on regional development projects and reinforce the Army's pivotal role in supporting peace and stability within the Northern Province.
