In support of the national "Clean Sri Lanka" initiative, the 55 Infantry Division, under the guidance of Major General KAN Rasika Kumara ndc psc, the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) and under the supervision of Major General W.M.A.B. Wijekoon USP ndc, the General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division organized a cleaning and awareness programme on "Clean Sri Lanka", at Kn/St Theresa’s Girls College Kilinochchi to provide a safe healthy and conducive learning environment for school children, on 15th July 2025.
The programme was organized in response to a request made by the Rev. Sr Maria Vasanthi, the principle of Kn/St Theresa’s Girls College. The students, teachers and parents also joined hand with the troops from the Headquarters 55 Infantry Division, Headquarters 551 Infantry Brigade, 7 Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry and 11 (V) Battalion of Gajaba Regiment this worthy project.
