Major General W A U S Wanasekara RWP USP Assumes Duties as Deputy General Officer Commanding, 55 Infantry Division

In a momentous event held at the Division Headquarters in Kilinochchi, 18th February 2025, Major General W A U S Wanasekara RWP USP formally assumed duties as the Deputy General Officer Commanding (DGOC) of the 55 Infantry Division. The simple yet dignified ceremony was attended by a wide spectrum of military personnel, reflecting the significance of the occasion.

The ceremony commenced with brief religious observances, following which Major General Wanasekara placed his signature on an official document to signify the formal acceptance of his new responsibilities.
