Under the guidance of Major General PR Pathiravithana USAWC psc, the General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division, and the supervision of Brigadier MHR Frenando RWP RSP USP, the Commander 521 Infantry Brigade, the troops of 521 Infantry Brigade assisted families affected by severe flooding in Katkowalam and Pulidanagar area on 27 November 2024.
45 members belonging to 25 families were evacuated to the IDP Centre functioning at Katkowalam Methodist Mission Mix Tamil School.
