A two days workshop focused on Military in Internal Security Operations (MISO) was conducted by a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) at Security Forces Headquarters - Jaffna on 18 and 19 March 2025, with the coordination of the Directorate of Legal Services Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.
The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Major General Y A B M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander Security Forces Jaffna and aimed to enhance knowledge among Officers on this critical subject.
The sessions were conducted by Mr. Lloyd Gillett (Representative from the ICRC) and Mr. Channa Jayawardena (Armed and Security Programme Advisor). 50 Senior Officers and Officers of SF - Jaffna participated for the workshop.
