With the instructions of the Commander, 553 Infantry Brigade, a school cleaning programme and a school item distribution programme were successfully conducted on 14 December 2025 at Kannakei Amman School, located in the Thadduwankoddei Grama Niladhari Division of the Kilinochchi District.
The programme was carried out with the participation of the Commanding Officer and troops of the 6 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, along with the Commanding Officer and troops of the Sri Lanka Air Force Camp, Iranamadu. The event was coordinated by the Deputy Director of the Disaster Management Centre (DMC), Kilinochchi District, with the generous assistance of Quantum Clothing (Pvt) Ltd., Bandaragama.
The school item distribution programme was conducted with the participation of several distinguished officials, including the Government Agent of Kilinochchi District, Mr. S. Muralidaran, the General Officer Commanding of the 55 Infantry Division, Major General WMAB Wijekoon USP ndc, Commander 553 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier MPJ Muthunayaka, Deputy Director of DMC Kilinochchi District, Mr. A.M.R.N.K. Alahakoon, and the Commanding Officers of 6 SLSR and the Sri Lanka Air Force Camp, Iranamadu.
The programme reflected the strong civil–military cooperation aimed at supporting the welfare and education of school children in the Kilinochchi District.
