Brigadier MHR Fernando RWP RSP USP ndu of Gemunu Watch assumed office as new Brigadier General Staff of Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) on Thursday 11 December 2025 amidst a simple ceremony.
After religious observances, Brigadier MHR Fernando RWP RSP USP ndu signed an official document and signified the acceptance of the new office. Before this new appointment, he had been serving as the Commander 521 Infantry Brigade of the 52 Infanty Division.
Staff Officers of the Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) were also there to greet him on the inauguration of his office.
