Major General PR Pathiravithana USAWC psc assumed duties as 30th General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division on 26 June 2024, according to the military customs and traditions at the Headquarters, 52 Infantry Division at Mirisuvil.
Major General PR Pathiravithana USAWC psc was accorded a Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour as a salute to the incoming General Officer Commanding. Subsequently, assumed duties with the blessing of Triple Gem, posed for group photograph and planted a sapling to symbolized the occasion.
Further, General Officer Commanding addressed the troops and highlighted his scope of works and duties in the days to come. In concluding the day’s itinerary, General Officer Commanding had an interaction with the Officers and Other Ranks during the reception of tea.
