Rear Admiral B Liyanagamage RWP, RSP, USP, ndc, psc, MA SS(CT:P&S), MSc (DS), Mgt, BSc (DS) Mech Eng, JP (Whole Island), the Commander Northern Naval Area, paid an official visit to the Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) on 02 August 2025. The visit underscored the strong partnership and ongoing collaboration between the Sri Lanka Navy and Army in ensuring regional stability and public welfare.
Rear Admiral Buddhika Liyanagamage was warmly received by Major General KAN Rasika Kumara ndc psc, Commander Security Forces – Jaffna. The meeting included a comprehensive discussion on the military’s multifaceted role in security, community engagement initiatives, in the Northern Province.
During the discussions, both commanders exchanged insights on improving coordination in security operations, fostering civil-military relations, and enhancing humanitarian and community outreach programs. The dialogue reflected a shared commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region while supporting the local population.
The visit concluded with an exchange of mementos, symbolizing goodwill, mutual respect, and a reaffirmation of inter-service cooperation. Rear Admiral Buddhika Liyanagamagealso signed the Visitors’ Book, expressing appreciation for the warm reception and acknowledging the importance of such engagements in strengthening inter services collaboration.
