In keeping with the spirit of Christmas and religious harmony, the Commander, 521 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Dhammika Jayarathne, hosted a Christmas fellowship tea party and gift distribution on 18 December 2025, for soldiers observing the Christmas festival serving in the 521 Infantry Brigade and its under-command battalions, namely the 4th Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and the 11th Battalion Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment.
The event was organized to mark the Christmas season and to recognise the dedication, commitment, and sacrifices of these soldiers who continue to serve the nation while observing this important religious festival away from their families.
During the event, Brigadier Dhammika Jayarathne extended his seasonal greetings and presented Christmas gifts as a gesture of appreciation and goodwill. The fellowship gathering fostered unity, morale, and camaraderie among officers and soldiers, reinforcing the values of mutual respect and religious coexistence within the Sri Lanka Army.
