On the request of community of Iyankulam, Kilinochchi, 7 th Battalion, Sri Lanka Light Infantry has renovated tank bund of the Iyankulama Tank when it faced an imminent threat of any erosion due to adverse weather condition on 24 January 2025.
This project was carried out under guidance of Major General BGS Fernando USP Hdmc psc, the General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division and the supervision of Commander, 551 Infantry Brigade with the leadership of Major UDSR Ushetti psc, the Commanding Officer of 7 th Battalion, Sri Lanka Light Infantry. 1 Officer and 15 Other Ranks supported to renovate the bund along with villagers by demonstrating their commitment in emergency situations.
