SURYA MANGALYA - 2024

To mark the Sinhala and Tamil New Year of 2024, "Seethawaka Bakmaha Udanaya - 2024" was organized jointly by the Headquarters Log Command at play ground on 09.04.2024.

Seethawaka Bakmaha Udanaya – 2024 was organized to promote Harmony, Values, Attitudes and Interrelationships with the participation of the Senior Officers, Officers, ORs, Civil Servants and their beloved family members. The Commander Logistics Command Major General M W T C Mettananda USP ndc, Brig S I P Vidanagamage RSP, Dr. Ruchira Gonalagoda – DMO Kosgama Hospital, IP Madhawa Wijesinghe – Police Station Kosgama, C.E. Hewawitharana - PHI, Kaluaggala, Mr. Kokila - President Seethawaka Youth Organization, Mr. Konara Salawa Estate - Estate Supernatant as the Chief Guests. It was started with the lighting of oil lamp.

There were number of traditional game and events giving priority to the Sinhalese traditions. Breaking the pots, Eyeing the elephant, Coconut leaves weaving, Fancy dress event, Playing musical chairs, Slow bike ride, Grease pole climbing, Pillow challenge, Tug of War, Bun eating, Sack race and many interesting traditional games were included. A large number of Competitors participated in those events very enthusiastically.

At the end of the all traditional games, valuable prizes and cash prizes offered to the winners.
