The newly promoted Warrant Officers of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) were conferred with their new ranks at a formal ceremony held on 11 October 2025 at the Regtl Cen, RHQ SLCMP, with due military formalities.
The event was graced by the Military Secretary of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General B G S Fernando USP Hdmc psc, who ceremonially adorned the newly promoted Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) with their respective rank insignia.
A total of 26 x Warrant Officer I (WO I) and 47 x Warrant Officer II (WO II) of the Corps were promoted recently, and from them, 12 x WO I and 25 x WO II received the opportunity to be ceremonially adorned with their ranks by the Colonel Commandant at the event.
The ceremony was conducted in keeping with the highest military traditions, reflecting the Corps’ steadfast commitment to recognizing the exemplary service, devotion to duty, and professionalism of its SNCOs.
