The Military Secretary of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General B G S Fernando USP Hdmc psc, paid an official visit to the 3rd Regiment, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police at Galkulama on 27th September 2025.
On his arrival, the Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer of 3 SLCMP, Lieutenant Colonel K A K Kariyawasam USP Lsc, with a traditional Guard Turnout, followed by a group photograph. Subsequently, the Commanding Officer delivered a comprehensive briefing covering the regiment’s operational, training, and administrative aspects.
During the visit, the Colonel Commandant planted a sapling, addressed the troops and he also inspected key areas of the camp. Concluding the programme, the Colonel Commandant penned his remarks in the Visitors’ Book at the Officers’ Mess.
