The Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General A M R Abeysinghe ndc, paid an official visit to 2 SLCMP, 3 SLCMP, and the School of Military Police. On his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by the respective Commanding Officers and the Commandant of the School of Military Police.
Subsequently, the respective Commanding Officers and the Commandant delivered comprehensive briefings covering operational, training, and administrative aspects of each establishment. The proceedings were followed by a troop address, during which the Provost Marshal highlighted the qualities expected of a Provost member and encouraged all ranks to carry out their duties with professionalism, dedication, and a positive attitude.
The visit also included a visit of camps, where the Provost Marshal interacted with Officers, SNCOs, and NCOs while reviewing facilities and training infrastructure.
In particular, the Provost Marshal graced the inauguration of the Crime Investigation Course – 2025, attended by four Officers and twenty-nine NCOs of the SLCMP. Drawing on his vast operational experience, he delivered an inspiring opening address, emphasizing the importance of accuracy, integrity, and discipline in investigative duties.
Senior Officers, Officers, SNCOs, and NCOs were present at the event. The visit reaffirmed the Provost Marshal’s unwavering commitment to enhancing training standards, operational readiness, and discipline across the Corps, in line with its proud motto, “Lead by Example.”
