The Military Secretary of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General ULJS Perera RSP USP nps psc, addressed all officers of the SLCMP on 26 May 2025 at the Regimental Centre, SLCMP in Polhengoda.
During his address, the Colonel Commandant underscored the critical importance of upholding the highest standards of discipline and military demeanour. He also stressed the necessity of prioritizing the welfare of soldiers, which he described as a cornerstone of an effective and cohesive military force.
The event was attended by several senior officers, including the Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General RD Sallay ndc; Commander, Logistics Command SFHQ (Central), Brigadier AMR Abeysinghe ndc; Centre Commandant of SLCMP, Brigadier MMMP Mahesh Kumara; BAQ 1 Corps, Brigadier RMKAS Rajanayaka; and BAQ SFHQ (W), Brigadier JS Munasinghe along with Council Members, Senior Officers and other SLCMP officers both in person and virtually.
Following the address, Colonel Commandant visited key ongoing infrastructure projects at the camp premises, including the construction of the new Charge Room building, Water Purification Project and the WOs’ and Sgts’ Mess, reflecting his commitment to improving facilities for soldiers.
This visit reflects Colonel Commandant’s continued commitment to operational excellence, welfare advancement, and the professional development of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police.
