THE COLONEL COMMANDANT OF THE SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE UNDERTAKERS FORMAL VISIT TO THE 7 SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE

The Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) , Major General S A N D Edirisinghe RWP RSP Hdmc psc visited the 7^th Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police - Diyathalawa on 01 August 2024. This was his maiden visit to the unit after assuming duties as the Colonel Commandant.
Major LGLB Gunarathne USP psc Lsc, the Commanding Officer warmly welcomed the senior Officer on the arrival. The subsequent program was lined up with the planting of a sapling, briefing by the Commanding Officer and the troops address. Later, the Colonel Commandant addressed the troops by elaborating on the security precautions and welfare of soldiers. Afterwards, he addressed to the regimental firing team, formed under the the 7 SLCMP, imparting valuable guidelines and motivational insights prior to the inter regiment firing competition. Before concluding the event, the Colonel Commandant mentioned his thoughts in the visitors’ Book.
The Senior Officers, Officer Commandings of affiliated Provost Companies, Officers and Other Ranks of the 7^th Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police were present at the occasion.
