PROVOST BOXERS DISPLAYED COLURS AND BROUGHT GLORY TO THE SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE DURING THE 48 TH NATIONAL SPORT MEET – 2024

The 48 th National Sport Meet – 2024, got underway on 07 July 2024 at Torrington Indoor Stadium, Colombo. The Boxers of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police participated the championship and crowned the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police with 2 Gold medals.

Bringing glory to the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police and the Sri Lanka Army, S/679741 Sergeant Chandrabandara P M L I and S/ 680975 Corporal Sudamma Y S P won the Gold medals respectively under 71 Kg and 86 Kg weight classes. Further, displaying outstanding performances, S/ 679741 Sergeant Chandrabandara P M L I became the best boxer in the tournament.

The Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General S A N D Edirisinghe RWP RSP Hdmc psc, the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army, Brigadier R D Sallay ndc, the Centre Commandant together with all members of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police offered best wishes to the Provost boxers who showcased the colours during the national event by displaying the outstanding performances.
