THE PROVOST MARSHAL OF SRI LANKA ARMY UNDERTAKES FORMAL VISIT TO 4th REGIMENT SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE

After assuming duties as the Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army, Brigadier R D Sallay ndc paid first official visit to the 4^th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police at Kankasanthurai on Wednesday, 05^th June 2024.

Upon arrival to the doorstep of the camp premises, the Provost Marshal was warmly welcomed by the Second in Command of 4^th Regiment, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (4 SLCMP), Major K A K Kariyawasam USP Lsc and where the Senior Officer was accorded with a traditional Guard Turnout. The subsequence program was line up with the group photographs, briefing by the Second in Command, all rank tea and the troops address.

During the troops address, the Provost Marshal recalled the memories of the era where the senior Officer commanded this unit. while the address in progress, the senior Officer appreciated the effort taking by the troops to maintain good order within Jaffna Peninsula. Further, the Provost Marshal expressed his desired expectation in coming years from 4 SLCMP as dedicated Provost unit for Security Force Headquarters (Jaffna) AOR. Before concluding the day’s itinerary, the Provost Marshal left a couple of thoughts and compliments on the Visitors’ Book.

The Second in Command, Officer Commanding’s of affiliated Provost Companies, Officers and Other Ranks of the 4^th Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police were present at the occasion.
