SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE FELICITATED TO THE NEWLY APPOINTED COLONEL COMMANDANT

The newly appointed Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General S A N D Edirisinghe RWP RSP Hdmc psc, assumed duties officially as the 12^th Colonel Commandant on Tuesday, 20^th May 2024. Accordingly, the new Colonel Commandant was felicitated with the ceremonial formalities at the Regimental Headquarters Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (RHQ SLCMP) on 30^th May 2024.

Upon the arrival, the Senior Officer was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant, Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police and the Commanding Officer ,1^ST Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police at the doorstep of the camp premises. Subsequent events were then lined up with according of the guard turnout and the guard of honour.

Thereafter, all officers, all ranks and parade troops were gathered for the group photograph with new Colonel Commandant. Officers and Other Ranks of the Regimental Centre physically represented the audience of troops address while other units, Officer Commanding Troops - Mullative (OC Tps) and School of Military Police (Sch of MP) troops joined in virtual mode. As the final event of the day, the 2^nd Regimental Council Meeting for 2024 preceded by the new Colonel Commandant was held at the conference hall with the participation Council Members.

The Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army Brigadier R D Sallay ndc the Centre Commandant, Council members, Senior Officers, Officers and Other ranks of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police were present at the occasion.
