After assuming duties as the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General S A N D Edirisinghe RWP RSP Hdmc psc, paid first official visit to the 2nd Regiment, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (2 SLCMP) and School of Military Police (Sch of MP) at Girithale on Tuesday, 28th May 2024.
The Commandant of School of Military Police, Colonel D D D Serasinghe USP and the Commanding Officer of 2 SLCMP, Major K N Indrajith USP Lsc extended a warm welcome to the Colonel Commandant at the entrance with a drive pass. Following the visit itinerary, the Senior Officer appeared to the group photograph and planted a sapling. The Commandant and the Commanding Officer conducted a comprehensive briefings on the operational, training and administrative functions of the Sch of MP and the 2 SLCMP .
Troops address was significant among the scheduled programme which the Colonel Commandant highlighted the status of discipline at all levels, the significance of military training, maintaining personal discipline, the way of enhancing professional knowledge of Provost Officers and Other Ranks and the continuation of excellent dedicated service.
The Commandant of School of Military Police, The Commanding Officers of 2 SLCMP, Officer Commandings of affiliated Provost Companies, Senior Officers, Officers and permanent staff of the School of Military Police and 2nd Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police were present at the occasion.
