THE PROVOST MARSHAL OF SRI LANKA ARMY UNDERTAKES FORMAL VISIT TO THE SPECIAL INVESTIGATION UNIT AT POLHENGODA

After assuming duties as the Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army, Brigadier R D Sallay ndc paid first official visit to the Special Investigation Unit at Polhengoda on Wednesday 15th May 2024.

Upon arrival to the doorstep of the camp premises, the Provost Marshal was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer - Special Investigation Unit, Colonel M M M P Mahesh Kumara with traditional Guard Turnout. Afterwards, the day's sequence of events commenced with the group photograph, Commanding Officer's briefing, troops address followed by the all ranks tea.

During the troops address, the Provost Marshal in an appreciation tone, highlighted the significant of the Special Investigation Unit to Sri Lanka Army. Further, the Senior Officer offered gratitude to the Commanding Officer and all ranks for their unwavering commitment to deter and prevent the breaches of discipline. Moreover, the Provost Marshal expressed his forward vision and desired expectation from the Special Investigation Unit while being as a vital element in coming years.

The Commanding Officer - Special Investigation Unit, Colonel M M M P Mahesh Kumara, Senior Officers, Officers, permanent staff of the Special Investigation Unit were present at the occasion.
