THE CONCLUSION OF THE TRAINING PROGRAMME ON COMPLAIN HANDLING AND PROSECUTION AT REGIMENTAL CENTRE SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE

Under the guidance of the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc, the directorate of Provost organized the training programme on Complain Handling and Prosecution from on 25 March 2024 to 29 April 2024 at the Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police with the participation of 06 x Officers and 62 x eligible Non Commissioned Officers of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police.

The intellectual lecture assistances were provided by the immensely qualified resource personals from government authorities and well qualified senior Officers of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police who is having vast experiences in the field of investigation. The course content included the following subjects’ areas with advanced theoretical and the practical aspects, which will be beneficial to carry out the required task within the battalion:

a. Rules and regulations for dealing with complaints.

b. Different categories of complaints.

c. Findings the root cause of problems through analysis.

d. Improve the knowledge and skills in handling complaints.

e. How to handle the difficult emotions.

f. How to communicate effectively.

g. How to respond in a complainer - focused manner.

h. How to find a solution that stratifies both parties.

The termination ceremony was held on 29 April 2024 where the participants received the certificates as a testimony of completions the training programme. The Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and the Senior Officer emphasized the value of the knowledge in this field as Officers and Non Commissioned Officers to carry out their duties in the investigation field in high standard.

The Commanding Officer of Special Investigation Unit, Colonel Provost - Dte of Provost, Other Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks represented at the closing address and the certificate awarding ceremony.
