PASSING OUT PARADE OF THE BASIC PROVOST COURSE NO - 83

The passing out parade of the Basic Provost Course No - 83 took place on 22 April 2024 at the School of Military Police, Giritale. Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc, the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) graced the event as the chief guest at the invitation of Colonel D D D Serasinghe USP , the Commandant School of Military Police.

The Recruits commenced their journey on 19 February 2024 and underwent determined training. On completion of the course, they were received the insignia form the Provost Marshal and the Colonel Commandant on 22 April 2024 as a symbols of their proud and prestigious identity as a provost member. The Centre Commandant of Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, the Commanding Officer Special Investigation Unit and the Commandant School of Military Police also attended for awarding of insignia to the newly passed out recruits.

During the parade, special awards were presented to the following Officer, Senior Non Commissioned Officer, Non Commissioned Officer and Recruit for their exceptional performances during the Provost course:

Followed by the parade, newly passed out recruits showcased an iconic Drill Display and Gymnastic Display. The regimental brass band marched across the parade ground in a rhythmic beat adding more colors the event. Finally, the regimental Taekwondo team exhibited strength, flexibility, and agility through the display with ancient fighting styles. The Council Members, Senior Officers, Officers ,Other Ranks, Parents and relatives participated to the event.
