Photography is a powerful medium that allows freezing moments in time, expressing the creativity and communicating emotions without words. Photography offers numerous advantages in both personal and professional contexts.
Being a prestigious regiment, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police carries out vital role as the special duty by providing photography and the videography assistance to SL Army and under command establishments in special military occasions.
Under the supervision of the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc, the 10 days workshop on photography was commenced on 02 January 2024 at Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police with the participation of 18 NCOs who perform island wide duties in photography sector.
The beginning of the workshop was marked with the opening address by the Colonel Commandant emphasizing objectives and the significance of crime scene photography and the capturing of photographs at traffic accidents.
The program of the workshop is designed with the series of lessons to impart individuals regarding the art and techniques of capturing, creating images with a camera, basic photography skills, advance equipment and lighting techniques etc.
The Centre Commandant, Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, The Commanding Officer of Special Investigation Unit, Other Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks represented at the inaugural session.
