1st Regiment, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police marked its diligent endeavor over 74 years of long journey. Sequential events were held in coincide with the anniversary on 27 and 31 October 2023 under the patronage of the Commanding Officer, Major E W H S Eramudugolla USP psc. On the evening of 27 October, a Bodi Pooja event was held in order to shower blessing for all ranks of 1 SLCMP. The ceremonial program was began with a guard turn out followed by a group photograph in part with the 74th Anniversary of 1 SLCMP On 31 October 2023. After that, all ranks lunch was held with the presence of the Officers and other ranks with the aiming to build up cooperation among all ranks and a friendly, healthy working atmosphere. The proceedings were concluded with the speech in which the Commanding Officer in an appreciative tone admired the exceptional service of 1 SLCMP to the nation and excellent contribution of the former Commanding Officers and their dedicated teams to elevate the 1 SLCMP to the present standards. Further, The speech of the Commanding Officer created an opportunity to the all ranks to have a road map in succeeding in both professional and personal life.
