THE SCHOOL OF MILITARY POLICE CONDUCTS THE CRIME INVESTIGATION COURSE

The first stage of the Crime Investigation Course - 2023 was commenced at the School of Military Police for the Officers and Other Ranks of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police from 23rd Oct 2023 to 27th Nov 2023 under the direction of the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc.

The Commandant of School of Military Police, Colonel D D D Serasinghe USP delivered the opening remarks. The objective of the course is to impart the theoretical and practical knowledge in this field as Provost members to carry out police duties in high standard. Further, the Course also includes the practical visit to the Government Analysis Department, Criminal Record Division and the workshop on Forensic evidence. The course curriculum includes:
  How to conduct proper surveillance.
  Analysis of statements.
  Identification and detection of Narcotics.
  Drug dealing and weapon smuggling.
  Framing of charge sheets on investigation report.
  Investigation on firearms and forensic ballistics.
  Examination of questioned documents.
