THE SPECIAL INVESTIGATION UNIT- SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE CONDUCTED THE WORKSHOP ON CRIME INVESTIGATION

The third workshop on crime investigation was conducted by the Special Investigation Unit under the direction of the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc and the close supervision of Commanding Officer Special Investigation unit, Colonel MMMP Mahesh Kumara at Ministry of Mass media lecture hall from 11.09.2023 to 19.09.2023.

This one -week workshop was designed to enhance the knowledge of more than 35 other ranks who are performing duties relevant to investigations field in SLCMP and the course content included the following subjects areas.
Army Audit Procedure & Detection of Bribery of Corruption.
How to Conduct Proper Surveillance.
Analysis of Statements.
Identification and Detection of NARCOTICS.
Judicial Medical Officer's Lecture on Postmortem.
Tender Procedure.
Drug Dealing and Weapon Smuggling Conducted by CID.
Framing of Charge Sheets on Investigation Report.
Forensic Explosion and Fire Investigation.
Investigation on Firearms and Forensic Ballistics.
DNA Serology & Digital Forensic Science.
Examination of Questioned Documents.

The closing address & the certificate awarding ceremony were held on 19 September 2023 with the presence of the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc.
