The 22nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Seva Vanitha Branch of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police was held on 16th September 2023 at Regimental Headquarters with the participation of 38 members. The AGM was chaired by the president of the Seva Vanitha Branch - SLCMP, Mrs.Priyanthika De Zoysa.
The event commenced with lighting the traditional oil lamp followed by singing the Seva Vanitha song. The first session of the day's programme allotted for the AGM and appointing new office bearers for upcoming year. During the meeting, a range of important matters were taken up for review and the proposed plan for the next year was discussed.
A documentary video consisting the summary of the community service activities conducted by the Seva Vanitha Branch during the past years was shown at the beginning of the second session. Afterwards hearing aids were donated to the selected SLCMP soldiers' Children who are suffering with hearing issues. The donation of essential hearing aids were sponsored by the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) under the supervision of Mrs Janaki Liyanage, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU). Further, the donation programme was continued by donating worth Rs. 75,000 to the selected SLCMP soldiers who are having children with special medical needs under the guidance of the president of the Seva Vanitha Branch - SLCMP Mrs.Priyanthika De Zoysa.
The third session of the day's programme was the lecture on "Life Management" with the aim of educating the gathering on life skills and self-management, conducted by Dr. Chaminda Weerasiriwardane, professional counselor and psychotherapist.
Members of Seva Vanitha Branch -SLCMP, Senior Officers, Officers and other ranks participated to the lecture and the event.
