CONCLUSION OF TRAFFIC CONTROL AND TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT COURSE NO: 01

Under the direction of the Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General A C A de Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc, School of Military Police conducted the Traffic Control and Traffic Management Course No: 01 from 07 August 2023 to 31 August 2023.

The aim of this course is to enhance the knowledge of officers and other ranks on Traffic Control and Traffic Management with the professional guidance from various kinds of experts to the traffic control and traffic management. The course comprised of the theoretical and practical aspects with traffic control, Motor traffic act, Points to be considered in traffic accident procedure, Methods of speed checking, Rules and regulations related to military vehicles, Preparing a sketch map of a traffic accident scene, Authorized routes for military vehicle, Application of vehicle parking methods, Preparation of traffic accident report, Road discipline and motor transport offences, Responsibilities of Army driver in a scene of traffic accident.

In the conclusion of the course, 04 Officers and 30 Other Ranks were awarded by the Commandant of School of Military Police, Colonel D D D Serasinghe USP for their successfully completion of Traffic Control and Traffic Management Course No: 01 on 31st August 2023.
