Corporal Dulan Kodithuwakku -5 Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police who participated in the Para Olympics 2020 in Tokyo- Japan as a member of Sri Lankan Para Olympic Team was able to secure the Bronze Medal in the Javelin Throw (F44) on 30 August 2021. Corporal Dulan joined Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on 5 December 2009 and he sustained injuries due to a traffic accident in 2016, while performing at Sri Lanka Army Athletic team. Due to the permanent low medical category he joined with Sri Lanka Army Para- Athletic Team. He was able to achieve his personnel best (65.61m) during the event. Dulan was a key team member of Sri Lanka Army Para –Athletic Committee who participated and secure 4th Place in Asian Para Games- 2018 and World Para Athletic Championship -2019. Further, He won Silver Medal in National Para Games- 2018 and Gold Medal in Army Para Games- 2018.The Colonel Commandant SLCMP and Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army Brigadier Anil Illangakoon along with all provost members congratulated him after hearing the second Sri Lankan Paralympian’s achievement.
