WAR HEROES REMEMBRANCE CEREMONY WAS HELD AT GIRITHALE
The annual War Hero remembrance ceremony was held under the patronage of the Colonel Commandant of the Regiment and Provost Marshal of the SL Army, Brig DKGD Sirisena USP at the War Hero Cenotaph - Girithale on 25 April 2017
A multi religious blessing ceremony was conducted by religious dignitaries to invoke blessing on who made the supreme sacrifice fallen War Heroes.
Floral tributes were laid by Colonel Commandant Brig DKGD Sirisena USP, Centre Commandant Brig IOW Madola and many Senior Officers at the Cenotaph during the ceremony.
A large number of parents and next of kins of the valiant War Heroes also paid their respect at the Cenotaph during the ceremony. The event was organized paralleled to 27th Regimental Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police.
