Officers and soldiers of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police celebrated the New Year and 27th Corps Day according to traditions by organizing a special tea party for all ranks at RHQ Cpls\' Club on 19th April 2017. Brigadier D K G D Sirisena USP, Colonel Commandant of the Regiment and Provost Marshal lit the traditional oil lamp inaugurating the tea party rich with traditional sweetmeats. Towards the end of the party, the Colonel Commandant extended New Year greetings for all participants. A large number of officers and soldiers including Centre Commandant and CO - SIU were presented on the occasion.
