An all-night Pirith Chanting ceremony followed by an alms giving was held at the Regimental Centre on 25 and 26 April 2015 in compliance with the 25th Corps Day. Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Maj Gen N Udawatta WWV RSP USP ndc psc M Phil, serving and retired Senior Officers, a large number of Officers/Other Ranks and family members of the fallen and vanish Heroes attended the grant event.
The Pirith Ceremony commenced with the monks being ushers into the venue in a colorful pageant. The Pirith Chanting Ceremony was followed by an alms giving to Budhish monks in the following morning. Religious blessings were invoked on the heroic personnel who were killed in action while safeguarding the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country.
