COLONEL COMMANDANT OF SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE REGIMENT ASSUMES DUTIES
Major General N UDAWATTE WWV RSP USP ndc psc assumed the duties as the 10th Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Regiment on 02nd June 2014, at a brief ceremony held at the Regimental Centre SLCMP - Polhengoda.
A Guard Turnout and a formal Guard of Honour accorded to the incoming Col Comdt on his arrival at the Parade Ground of Regimental Centre - Polhengoda. After that Major General Udawatte planted a tree sapling in the Regimental premises which would mark unforgettable memories in the annals of the Regimental history.
The Col Comdt has signed the first official document which signified the taking over of office as the Col Comdt and members of the Maha Sangha invoked blessings to the Col Comdt on the occasion of assuming the new appointment.
Afterwards, Major General Udawatte addressed the gathering in which the Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army ,Centre Commandant of Regimental Centre SLCMP, Unit Commanding Officers, Officers and other ranks were present.
