“STRENGTHENING THE PROVOST BONDS WITH SISTER SERVICES” CADETS OF INTAKE NO. 67 OF THE SLAF PROVOST BRANCH VISITS THE SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE HEADQUARTERS

In a significant display of Inter-Service collaboration and camaraderie, a provost Cadet Officer from the Sri Lanka Air Force Officer Cadet Intake No. 67 paid an educational visit to the Regimental Headquarter - Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on 22nd February 2024. Squadron Leader I L Jayathilaka, Officer Cadet K D R Fernando and 2 x NCOs from the SLAF Provost Branch arrived at the SLCMP Headquarters to foster closer ties and exchange insights on various aspects of military policing.

The visit allowed the Air Force Provosts to gain firsthand knowledge of the operational procedures and functions of the SLCMP. The visit itinerary was lined up with lectures on Role and Task, Traffic Accident Procedure and Functions of Charge Room. Further, the team had the opportunity to witness a compressive demonstration of Traffic Accident Procedure and Ceremonial Motor Cade while being able to visit the Crime Scene Evidences Display Room and the Provost Museum.

This visit symbolizes a commitment to unity, cooperation, and a shared vision for disciplined forces. By fostering interagency cooperation and understanding between the two forces, this collaboration sets the stage for more integrated and effective capabilities to address the dynamic challenges of the contemporary situation.
