Training School of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Commemorates its 19 th Anniversary

In the year 2000 separate establishment was raised at Narahenpita as the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Training School .The School was re designated as the School of Military Police (SMP) and shifted to Giritale on 24th Dec 2003.

On 13thAugust 2019 School of Military Police celebrate its 19thAnniversary.The same day Col DMA Bandara took over the duties as 23rd Commandant of School of Military Police.

To celebrate the 19th Anniversary SMP has organized number of events.Commandant of SMP greeted a Guard Turnout and planted a tree in order to remember 19th anniversary . Afterward A Troops address for the All Ranks and group photo added importance to the days proceeding before participating to All Rank lunch.

The anniversary celebration were terminated on 13th August 2019 evening at the camp §BO¶ tree premises with the bodhipojaprogramme and invoked blessangs on the 19thanniversary of the training school and merits on those who sacrificed their lives for the motherland" those who still receiving treatments and all Ranks serving under the regiment.
