THREE SENIOR OFFICERS PROMOTED TO THE RANK OF LIEUTENANT COLONEL

The Military Secretary of Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General B G S Fernando USP Hdmc psc, ceremonially adorned the newly-promoted U/M senior officers with their insignia at a formal occasion held at the Army Headquarters on 03 September 2025.

• Lt Col K A K Kariyawasam USP Lsc – Commanding Officer, 3 SLCMP

• Lt Col R G B S Premarathna USP Lsc – Staff Officer 1 (V/A) (O/L), Regimental Headquarters SLCMP

• Lt Col K T Randika USP Lsc – Second in Command, 1 SLCMP

The ceremony was graced by the Provost Marshal, Major General A M R Abeysinghe ndc; the Centre Commandant of SLCMP Brigadier R M K A S Rajanayake along with several senior officers of the Corps.
