SRI LANKA ARMY TRIUMPHS IN 84TH ANNUAL TWO MILE SEA SWIM CHAMPIONSHIP WITH THE SUPPORT FROM SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE

In a display of unmatched skill and determination, the Sri Lanka Army emerged victorious in the prestigious 84th Annual Two Mile Sea Swim Championship, held from 15th March 2024 to 16th March 2024 at Mount Lavinia Beach. Attending the event alongside the other Military Police swimmers, Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc, the Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police showcased the Military Police dominance in the Sri Lanka Army Aquatic Sports team.

The Sri Lanka Army's success reinforced by Military Police swimmers was highlighted by their achievement of two esteemed accolades: the Tri-Services Championship and the Overall Championship – Men’s (Highest Aggregated Marks). The guidance provided by the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General H L V M Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, played a pivotal role in steering the Army Aquatic Sports team towards these remarkable achievements.

The awards ceremony, attended by esteemed dignitaries and fervent sports enthusiasts, was graced by the presence of Mr. Sagala Ratnayaka, the Chief of Staff and National Security Advisor to the President of Sri Lanka.

Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc presently chairs the Sri Lanka Army Aquatic Sports Committee, further solidifying his pivotal role in enhancing the prestige of the Sri Lanka Army through aquatic sports.
