The selected Officers and Senior NCOs of SLCMP attended a five days workshop on handling XJ 900p Motor Cycle and performing Motorcade duties at Regimental Centre Polhengoda.
This workshop was inaugurated under the guidance of Maj Gen ACA de Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc the Provost Marshal of SL ARMY and the Colonel Commandant of SLCMP and under the close supervision of Brig AMR Abeysinghe, Centre Commandant of SLCMP.
5 Officers and 37 NCOs participated to the workshop and those attendees had an opportunity to refresh the knowledge and receive updates on performing Motorcade duties. Specially handling of XJ 900p Motor Cycle, which was specially designed to provide Ceremonial Motorcade duties to head of the government (President) as well as the heads of states as a Ceremonial Motorcade.
Finally, on 2 June 2023, the certificate awarding ceremony was held at Regimental Headquarters SLCMP and Centre Commandant made the closing remarks of the workshop in the presence of the Officers and ORs of the workshop.
