SLCMP CONDUCT "ESALA POYA DAY" RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES AT ARMY BODHIRAJARAMAYA TEMPLE PANAGODA

Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police in collaboration with Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps and Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps contributed for "Esala Poya Day" religious activities at the Army Bodhirajaramaya Temple Panagoda under the guidance of Army Buddhist Association on 16th July 2019.
Religious activities commenced with observing Sil in the morning and subsequently Dharmadeshana, Almsgiving, Perahera and Bodhipooja were included covering entire day at the temple.
Almsgiving in the morning and afternoon for more than 1140 Buddhist devotees were prepared and offered. Religious programme concluded with a colourful Perahera and Bodhipoojawa organized by Special Investigation Unit in the evening.
Officers and Other Ranks representing all battalions of SLCMP, SLAWC, SLAPC contributed to make the event successful and the Commander Logistics Command and Colonel Commandant of corps of Military Police Major General DKGD Sirisena USP supervised the event.
