The Annual General Meeting of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) was held on 22nd June 2025 at the Regimental Headquarters, Polhengoda.
As part of the day’s proceedings, Mrs. Surani Wettasinghe, Adviser on Human Resources, Motivation and Leadership Development, conducted an engaging session on personal branding. Her presentation encouraged participants to reflect on self-awareness and pursue personal and professional growth followed by a wellness workshop facilitated by representatives from Herb line Sri Lanka, focusing on holistic well-being and lifestyle enhancement.
Demonstrating strong community support, generous donors Mr. Sriyal De Silva and Mrs. Nilakshi De Silva presented financial assistance for several key welfare initiatives including Rs. 1 million for construction of a house for a disabled SLCMP soldier, medical assistance for the spouse of a Non-Commissioned Officer and other upcoming projects spearheaded by the SLCMP Seva Vanitha Branch.
The event concluded on a high note with a vibrant entertainment segment which captivated vocal performance by the renowned singer Miss Lisara Fernando, alongside a dynamic cultural show presented by the Sri Lanka Army Dancing Troupe.
The occasion was graced by members and past presidents of the Seva Vanitha Branch. Adding to the significance of the event, Military Secretary of Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, and Patron of the SLCMP Seva Vanitha Branch, Major General U L J S Perera RSP USP ndu psc, addressed the gathering. He extended his heartfelt appreciation to the Seva Vanitha Branch for their unwavering commitment to the welfare and well-being of Military Police personnel and their families during his tenure.
