The Second Quarter Officers’ Training Day of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police was successfully held on 13th June 2025 at the Regimental Headquarters, under the guidance of the Military Secretary of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General U L J S Perera RSP USP nps psc.
The training programme was organized by the 5th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police and the day commenced with a morning physical training session, followed by a drill session for junior officers to instill discipline and teamwork. An insightful individual presentation was delivered by Major J M G E P K Jayaweera Lsc, who addressed the topic of ‘Cyber Security Threats and Supply Chain Vulnerabilities in Modern Warfare in the Aspects of Military Logistics’. Further, a comprehensive group presentation was conducted by Major A M P Wickramasinghe Lsc, Major D A R Wijerathna Lsc, Major E M S S Ekanayake, Lieutenant B G Paranawithana and Lieutenant K J N M M N N Nawarathna on ‘Implementations to Develop the Foreign Investment Opportunities in Sri Lanka’.
A special highlight of the day was the "Diners Club" session held at the Regimental Officers’ Mess. The keynote address titled "Advancing Strategic Leadership Through Professionalism, Ethical Command, and Motivational Excellence," was delivered by Professor Ravi Dissanayake, Director of the Staff Development Centre at the University of Kelaniya.
The Military Secretary of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General U L J S Perera RSP USP nps psc; Commander, Logistics Command SFHQ (Cen), Major General R D Sallay ndc; Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army, Brigadier A M R Abeysinghe ndc; Centre Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Brigadier M M M P Mahesh Kumara; Council Members, Senior Officers and Officers of the Corps were attended for the programme.
The event served as a platform to enhance knowledge, leadership capabilities, and camaraderie among officers, further strengthening the professional standards of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police.
